"Traveler" is a wearable artwork that explores the human consciousness as an extension of our beings with the ability to radiate beyond our physical bodies. This piece removes the participant from their familiar visceral experience and places their perceptual reality in an visual and auditory
"no-man's land". The participant is able to freely move about the gallery space while viewing and experiencing their actions from a third person
perspective, behind their body.
“Traveler” uses a custom created fabric backpack with a steel armature connected to a small color camera. A live audio/video feed is processed through an audio effects processor in the pack and fed to a pair of light-weight video glasses and earbud headphones.
