I create interactive sculptures, immersive environments, and engaging video that entice the viewer to examine their connection to the natural forces and elements that surround us and compose our existence. I am intrigued by the profound, and often disputed, correlation between spiritual philosophies and the physical and theoretical sciences. During much in-depth research into these seemingly opposing dogmas, I have explored the possibility of consciousness being broken down to a measurable and moldable unit.

       I am deeply fascinated by systems of human perception, the conscious and unconscious interpretations of action and intention. I investigate these mental fluctuations and their ability to reverberate and transcend physical bounds. My artwork exposes life's most raw and fundamental units in order to provide myself and others an opportunity to visualize our inherent congruity with the forces of nature.

        Recently, I began a line of comparative research concerning the use of sound as a tool of meditation and spiritual cultivation in many different cultures. I am interested in the psychological and physiological effects of these practices on the human mind. I am applying this research within my current artworks in tandem with the experiences of my own spiritual practices. I am discovering the immense depth to which mankind as elemental beings are connected to and governed by vibrations. I am also finding this link to apply to all matter in the know universe.

       My ability to translate these topics into real-time connections with the viewer is largely made possible by the use of interactivity in many of my works. My background in sound engineering and music composition coupled with my current studies in electrical engineering and robotics have allowed me to add elements such as sensor feedback systems, participant driven audio creation, and interactive lighting situations to name a few. These technologies empower participants with the ability to control and connect with normally unbounded natural elements.
